| this is random, but i love it on pandora when i "thumb down" a song, and it apologizes (profusely) to me and says, "we'll never play that song on this station again."
i always think. "woah! never is a verrry long time. it wasn't that bad."

| 1. having a dog around when you're home alone is nice because a) she's going to bark to warn you if an intruder comes near...but unfortunate because b) she also barks at a leaf blowing across the yard of the house next door, so she just c) freaks you out unnecessarily ALL THE TIME. and she may or may not lick her own butt and then your hands/face.
2. when a drink machine sucks in my entire dollar, scans it, and then spits it out, i feel personally affronted. like the machine just judged me and found me unworthy to buy a drink. it's worse when the dollar gets spit out so quickly that it falls on the floor and under the machine. i'm torn between wanting to cry and wanting to kick it [the machine].
3. these are just random musings that i didn't think were important enough to actually tell anyone, so i'm making it YOUR FAULT that you logged on (or checked your email) and read them. hahahhaa. can't blame meee. suckers!
without further ado, ~regina~

did you know that pollution's
effect isn't just this whole (somewhat popular) "greenhouse gas"
phenomenon? even if we immediately completely stopped producing ALL
kinds of pollutive gases, the ocean (which already eases the effects of
atmospheric global warming by absorbing over 40% of carbon dioxide
outputs) would continue to take up CO2 from the air for another tens of
thousands of years. if we stopped polluting cold turkey, today...it's
still irreversible for (at least) 10,000 more years.
...meaning...the
pH (a ten-fold increase in acidity) of the ocean (and other major
bodies of water) will continue to drop, killing algae, bleaching coral
reefs, killing 1/2 of all coral reefs, and killing over 1/3 of all
marine genera...including stuff like shrimp (what will chinese
restaurants do?), trout, bass, perch, clams, crayfish, snails, etc.
the
effect is roughly equivalent to an asteroid SIX MILES WIDE hitting the
earth (in terms of its effect on the ocean, alone, not even mentioning
the effects of pollution to the atmosphere)
yeah...i don't know. something to think about maybe.

| happy new year! eek, it's 2007. what a great number. too bad i wasn't a 03/07 kid. 04/08 is kind of rough on my whole number thing.
for
new year's eve...i want to do what we used to do in plano...have a
bunch of (family) friends over, eat potluck chinese dinner, and then
play games and stuff and watch tv. i'd usually fall asleep around 10 or
11, and then my momma would wake me up around 11:50, oooor...the
screaming and yelling would wake me up, and my mom would put me to bed.
-__- too bad i didn't appreciate it when i had it.
my new obsession: jack johnson. haha and i am putting out my request for jack johnson songs, again! i'm cheap, what can i say. if you have any jack johnson...can you send him my way?!?!?
